SimplyIslam.sg is organising a special workshop conducted by Shaykh Khalil Moore from USA. Shaykh Khalil Moore embraced Islam at the age of 19, and is an upcoming Islamic scholar, having spent many years travelling to the Muslim world in search of sacred knowledge, learning the religion in the hands of professors and shaykhs in Madinah, Mauritania, Morocco, Emirates, Egypt and Yemen. He studied the Maliki and Shafi’i jurisprudence (fiqh), Arabic language and has translated and edited several classical and contemporary Islamic books. Among his teachers are great scholars like Habib Umar Bin Hafiz.

The heart is the centerpiece of the servant’s relationship with his or her Creator. If it is sound, the relationship is sound. If it is corrupt, the relationship is corrupt. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an: “Successful indeed is he who purifies it. And completely ruined is he who defiles it.”

In this workshop series we will examine the importance of the life of the heart; the means by which we can attain true spiritual rectitude; some of the key diseases that obstruct our path and how to begin to remove them; and what living the life of a spiritual aspirant on the path to the Hereafter entails.

Much of the discussions in this workshop will be based on some books by the great Imam Abdullah al-Haddad like the “Book of Assistance”. Imam al-Haddad is widely regarded as the mujaddid (or “renewer”) of the 12th Islamic century.
